Become a vital part of the DiVal Safety Equipment team, where you will engage in a dynamic and skilled environment. This role centers on the testing, maintenance, and repair of personal protective equipment (PPE), electrical gloves, gas detection instruments, and fall protection gear, all while upholding the highest standards of quality and professionalism. The perfect candidate will possess a technical mindset, a passion for the field, and exceptional communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prioritize safety in all tasks – adhere to safety training and protocols, and report any safety issues to management.
- Oversee daily operations of the Repair Center, including inventory management, order processing, quote preparation, and communication with clients and sales representatives.
- Conduct evaluations, provide estimates, and perform repairs on various models of gas detection devices, fall protection gear, hot sticks, electrical gloves, level A chemical suits, SCBA units, and portable fire extinguishers.
- Complete all necessary documentation, order processing, and customer invoicing accurately.
- Assist clients in resolving issues or complaints, escalating unresolved matters to supervisors to ensure effective service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
- Strong mechanical skills and proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting capabilities.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and AS400 (preferred).
- Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
- Attention to detail is crucial.
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent, with 1-3 years of prior customer service experience being advantageous.
