Montgomery & Associates (M&A) is seeking a full-time hydrogeologist to contribute to our project team focused on environmental remediation. The professional selected for this role can operate from various locations, including our Phoenix, Tucson, Pasadena, or Oakland offices. Project responsibilities will necessitate periodic travel for in-person collaboration and meetings. Our team currently maintains a hybrid work model, with a minimum of 50% office presence.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Design, oversee, and assist in field investigations, encompassing soil gas, groundwater, and indoor air monitoring and sampling initiatives.
- Administer routine groundwater monitoring programs.
- Coordinate well permitting, drilling, design, construction, testing, sampling, rehabilitation, and abandonment activities from both office and field settings.
- Lead M&A field teams and subcontractors.
- Engage with regulatory bodies, municipalities, and water suppliers.
- Evaluate data and prepare comprehensive reports.
- Guide, train, and mentor junior personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrology, or engineering; a graduate degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of professional consulting experience.
- Professional registration (P.G.) is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in investigating, testing, and conceptualizing subsurface hydrogeologic conditions and contaminant transport.
- Familiarity with pumping tests, groundwater models, remediation technologies, and relevant regulations.
- Experience with vapor intrusion and indoor air investigations and remediation is advantageous.
- Project management experience is essential.
- Strong communication skills, including technical writing and the ability to present technical information in group settings.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug tests if required.
- Current and valid driver's license.
- Eligibility to work and reside in the United States.
