The LPN Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing high-quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments to residents in a safe and organized manner.
- Document medication administration and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct Service and Health Updates as directed by the Resident Care Director.
- Participate in the development of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and monthly updates.
- Transcribe orders and maintain accurate records.
- Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and British Columbia Workers Compensation Act requirements.
- Practice safety procedures at all times, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire extinguishers, and Lockout Tagout procedures.
- LPN, LVN, or state/province specific licensed nurse credential.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
- Ability to react and remain calm in difficult situations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities.
- Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication and level of understanding.
