Job Summary

Child & Family Service is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Outreach Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our community outreach program, you will be responsible for conducting outreach and screening for trauma and/or mental health concerns, providing information and referral services, and linking individuals and families to appropriate resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct community outreach and screening for trauma and/or mental health concerns
  • Provide information and referral services and linkages to appropriate resources
  • Offer informal lay counseling based on identified needs
  • Prioritize individuals and families who have experienced trauma due to a natural disaster
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, plus additional courses or specialized training
  • At least one year of experience providing direct care to children and adolescents
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and trauma-informed crisis response and stabilization
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse populations
