We are looking for a committed Secondary Special Education Instructor at RMA Texas Public Schools. Essential Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Possession of a valid teaching certification relevant to the assigned grade level and subject area, in accordance with federal, state, or local regulations.
- Experience or formal training in supporting students classified as 'at-risk' is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to engage positively with various stakeholders, including parents, students, and colleagues.
- Capability to educate and manage students from varied backgrounds and socio-economic statuses.
- Experience in conflict resolution and management.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Secondary Special Education Instructor, you will uphold the educational mission and standards of RMA while ensuring adherence to student conduct policies. Your responsibilities will include safeguarding students and school property, maintaining precise records, and pursuing continuous professional development. Participation in staff meetings, committee involvement, and fostering collaborative relationships with students, peers, and parents are crucial aspects of this role.
In the classroom, you will design and implement lesson plans tailored to meet the diverse needs of students, cultivate an engaging and structured learning atmosphere, and apply positive behavioral interventions. You will monitor and document student progress, address learning obstacles with the assistance of specialists, and cater to the requirements of students in special programs. Additionally, you will supervise and assess the performance of educational aides and volunteers.
