We are seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanic to join our team based in Washington, DC.

Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading cleantech integrator and renewable energy asset developer, owner, and operator. Ameresco offers a comprehensive portfolio of energy efficiency, infrastructure upgrades, asset sustainability, and renewable energy solutions delivered to clients throughout North America and Europe.

The selected candidate will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVAC, commercial refrigeration, boilers, and boiler room-related equipment. They will also conduct equipment readings critical for operations, efficient performance, maintenance history, and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Operational Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of HVAC systems, commercial refrigeration units, boilers, and related equipment.
  • Equipment Readings: Conduct regular readings to monitor equipment performance, maintenance history, and report any issues or concerns.
  • Inspections: Perform internal and external inspections of boilers, burners, boiler rooms, chillers, HVAC systems, and associated controls to identify potential issues.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal performance.
  • Communication: Provide clear, accurate, and customer-focused verbal and written communication to stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Trade School Degree: Possess a trade school or vocational high school degree in a relevant field.
  • Licensure: Hold a valid Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia Journeyperson's HVAC License.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of applicable experience in HVAC mechanics.
  • Certifications: Types II and III CFC Certification.
  • Security Clearance: Ability to review confidential US security information.
Benefits

Ameresco offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
