Medical Office Assistant Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT to provide routine patient care to adults under the supervision of licensed personnel.
Main Responsibilities and Performance Expectations- Patient Assessments and Diagnostics:
- Perform patient assessment (vital signs, allergies, referring physician, glucose monitoring) under the direction of licensed personnel; document appropriately.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with co-workers all relevant information necessary for quality patient care.
- Supervision and Leadership:
- Assign and communicate all daily Medical Office Assistant (MOA) duties.
- Monitor and assure efficient completion of MOA duties.
- Supply and Organization:
- Clean and stock exam and treatment rooms.
- Check equipment assigned to patient care; inventory clinic supplies.
- Additonal Tasks as Needed:
- Cross-train with other support staff to assist as needed relating to patient care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Documented validation of technical skills or completion of an organized course for nursing assistants or a minimum of 3-years' experience is required.
- Completion of an accredited medical office assistant training course, military corpsman training program, or nursing assistant course.
- Ability to use various computer programs, applications, and standardized word processing.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Fluent in English and Vietnamese.
Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year.
