Cybersecurity Internship Opportunity

Mccormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a full-time Cybersecurity Intern in Hunt Valley, Maryland. This 10-week internship requires 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.

As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts from various cybersecurity tools and systems. You will also support the execution of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities. Additionally, you will help maintain and update cybersecurity documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports.

Responsibilities:
Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts from various cybersecurity tools and systems
Support the execution of vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
Help maintain and update cybersecurity documentation, including policies, procedures, and incident reports
Participate in security awareness training initiatives and help develop training materials
Assist with the management and tracking of security incidents, including documentation and follow-up actions
Collaborate with IT and other internal teams to support ongoing cybersecurity projects and initiatives
Conduct research on emerging cybersecurity threats and provide summaries to the team
Contribute to the improvement of cybersecurity processes and tools

Required Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree as an Undergraduate Junior or Senior in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
A strong interest in cybersecurity, with a basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts and tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with cybersecurity tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges in the cybersecurity field

Preferred Qualifications:
Security+, Network+ or related certification
