Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team at Maria Parham Health. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) while implementing safety standards and performing quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results, taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or GED equivalency is required.
  • Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology is required.
  • ARRT registered in Radiology is required.
  • Computed Tomography (CT) certification is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) is required upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous CAT scan experience is preferred.
Work Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate with patients, families, and peers, and will be able to work with minimal supervision.
