Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Youth Sports Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County. As a Youth Sports Instructor, you will be responsible for coaching and supervising various youth sports programs, creating a welcoming and nurturing environment for all members and guests, and developing effective relationships with members, participants, and other staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Referee, coach, and/or supervise various youth sports programs.
  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for all members and guests.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with members, participants, and other staff.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve program goals.
  • Enforce health and safety rules and maintain emergency readiness.
  • Respond to emergency situations in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
  • Participate in in-service trainings and uphold the core values of the YMCA.
  • Work scheduled shifts and maintain a positive attitude.

Qualifications

We are looking for individuals who are at least 16 years of age and have a positive and outgoing attitude. Candidates must be able to exercise mature judgment and sound decision-making, relate to people in a positive and firm manner, and effectively communicate information on YMCA programs to members and participants. A willingness to provide a fun and safe environment is essential.
