Position Overview:

The individual in this role is tasked with acquiring goods and services, encompassing warehouse inventory, direct receiving items, and specialized project purchases. This position requires exercising purchasing responsibilities and judgment based on optimal value, taking into account quantity, quality, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate requisitions, engage with suppliers, and procure goods based on pre-established price, quantity, and quality agreements, ensuring prompt acquisition of products that satisfy the requirements of various departments.

2. Collaborate and communicate with user departments to comprehend their needs, proactively address issues, and guarantee customer satisfaction while ensuring that procurement services align with organizational goals.

3. Analyze bids for significant purchases to secure the most favorable terms concerning price, quantity, quality, service level, and delivery timelines.

4. Investigate and liaise with current and prospective suppliers to foster relationships and negotiate advantageous pricing and service contracts.

5. Monitor inventory levels (including office supplies and specific food items) and place orders to maintain optimal inventory levels that effectively meet user demands.

6. Partner with suppliers to resolve discrepancies, facilitate returns, and coordinate delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of quality products that fulfill departmental needs.

Qualifications:

Strong communication skills are essential. These skills are typically acquired through a high school education or equivalent, alongside a minimum of two years of purchasing experience; or through the completion of a college degree in business administration or a closely related field, supplemented by one year of relevant experience.

Salary Range:
USD $50,000.00 - $52,000.00 /Yr.
