Job Overview

The Scharine Group Inc. is seeking a skilled Estimator specializing in Metal Fabricated Equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in evaluating project costs for custom dolly and rack initiatives, ensuring precise and competitive estimates for our clientele.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess project specifications to derive accurate cost projections.
  • Engage with project managers, engineers, and relevant stakeholders to collect essential estimating data.
  • Develop and present detailed quotes to clients, adhering to established timelines.
  • Analyze subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing as needed.
  • Conduct comprehensive research on materials, labor, tooling, and equipment expenses to ensure precise estimates.
  • Maintain an extensive database of historical cost information for future reference.
  • Support project teams throughout the design and manufacturing processes.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and pricing changes to improve estimating precision.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to formulate effective strategies and proposals for upcoming projects.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality benchmarks.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience as an Estimator in a metal fabrication setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of metal fabrication techniques, materials, and associated costs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and precision.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Capability to work autonomously and meet stringent deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Compensation

Salary Range: $25 - $35 per hour
