Job Title: PRN Registered Radiology TechnologistJob Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced PRN Registered Radiology Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Paulding Hospital. As a key member of our Diagnostic Imaging Services department, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including radiography, fluoroscopy, and computed tomography (CT) scans. Your expertise will be essential in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our imaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities:Technical Procedures:- Perform radiographic examinations, including positioning, exposure, and image acquisition
- Operate fluoroscopy and CT scanners to produce high-quality images
- Assist with patient preparation and positioning for procedures
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and examination results
- Provide excellent patient care and communication, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Obtain and verify patient information, including medical history and allergies
- Follow established protocols for patient preparation and positioning
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment
- Perform routine maintenance and quality control checks on imaging equipment
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor
- Assist with the cleaning and disinfection of equipment and work areas
- Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
- ARRT Radiography certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
Requirements:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Less than 1 year Entry level up to 5 years experience Required and Experience must be within the past Seven (7) years Required
