The Addison of Lincolnton is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide to join our team. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional care and support.
Key Responsibilities:- Medication Management: Supervise the self-administration of medication for our Memory Care Department residents, adhering to Federal and State regulations, as well as Senior Lifestyle Corporation guidelines.
- Medication Storage and Security: Properly store all medications, ensuring that lotions, ointments, and liquids are kept separate from oral medications.
- Medication Ordering and Inventory: Order necessary medications and treatments from approved pharmacies, and notify supervisors when supplies are running low.
- Medication Verification and Documentation: Verify the accuracy of received medications, notify pharmacies and supervisors of discrepancies, and document all information in the daily log.
- Personal Care and Support: Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, grooming, dressing, incontinence care, and eating.
- Nursing Care and Support: Provide general nursing care, including vital signs, temperatures, blood pressure, and weights.
- Communication and Teamwork: Answer calls, assist residents with needs, and participate in staff training and in-services.
- Record-Keeping and Compliance: Maintain accurate records, including preparation of medical charts for new admissions and readmissions, and ensure medical records are complete within 48 hours, as per Policy and Procedure (P&P) and regulatory guidelines.
- Certified Medication Aide certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Basic math skills and attention to detail
