About This Role

As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers and their newborns during the labor and delivery process. Your primary responsibility will be to support women throughout their labor and delivery experience, ensuring the safe arrival of their babies into the world.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing care to expectant mothers.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, assess progress during labor, and assist with pain management techniques.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized birth plans and interventions.
  • Assist with childbirth, including vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other obstetric procedures, while adhering to safety protocols and infection control measures.
  • Educate and support mothers and their families during the postpartum period, providing breastfeeding assistance, newborn care instruction, and emotional support for the transition to parenthood.
Requirements:
  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other certifications as required by facility)
  • Two years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
