Underwriting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Specialist to join our team at Partner Colorado Credit Union. As an Underwriting Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and approving loans, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

• Review and approve loans in a timely and professional manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and credit union policies.
• Assist in the development and implementation of underwriting procedures and guidelines.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless loan processing and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct audits and reviews of loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Provide training and guidance to new employees on underwriting procedures and policies.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years of experience in consumer lending with full underwriting authority.
• Knowledge of federal and state lending regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Experience with loan origination systems and other financial software.
• Knowledge of credit union policies and procedures.
• Certification in underwriting or a related field.
