Admissions Counselor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Admissions Counselor to join our team at Seven Hills Hospital, a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in the US. As an Admissions Counselor, you will play a critical role in ensuring that prospective patients receive the highest level of care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to prospective patients and referral channels by providing psychological assessments and/or appropriate treatment options.
  • Provide managed care entities with clinical information regarding patient psychiatric hospitalization.
  • Provide crisis intervention to prospective patients, their families, and external agencies via telephone and/or in person.
  • Make appropriate referrals based on patients' needs and preferences.
Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in behavioral health from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a psychiatric setting as Intake Specialist or related experience.
