Position Summary

The Music Business & Legal Affairs Department plays a crucial role in supporting NBCUniversal's various business units, particularly in music rights and licensing. The Music Contracts Coordinator will assist the VP and other legal professionals in the department, contributing to the negotiation and management of music-related agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to negotiate, draft, and review a wide range of agreements, including composer, recording artist, and licensing contracts.
  • Conduct research and prepare deal summaries, while managing day-to-day contractual matters, which include:
    • Data entry and maintenance of records
    • Drafting correspondence and memoranda for internal and external stakeholders
    • Creating presentations for senior management
  • Provide general legal advice and support to various business units.
  • Assist other attorneys and professionals within the department as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a professional setting that demands strong analytical and organizational skills; or a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
