Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL driver to transport goods between locations using tractor trailers and heavy trucks. As a CDL driver, you will be responsible for adhering to traffic and safety regulations while delivering loads on time. This role requires a commercial driver's license and medical certification. If you are comfortable operating heavy machinery and have strong eyesight and hearing, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading, unloading, and securing equipment for transport
  • Local and regional hauling of equipment
  • Performing daily commercial vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
  • Providing exceptional customer service standards for delivery service
  • Obtaining required signatures on rental contracts, pick-ups, and exchange forms
  • Demonstrating safe and proper equipment usage to customers at point of delivery
  • Completing reports for out-going and returned equipment
  • Completing log books and trip sheets, meeting all D.O.T. and company record-keeping requirements
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Valid Class A driver's license required/Medical certification
  • 2+ years proven experience with tractor-trailer driving preferred
  • Clean driving record with no moving violations
  • Must pass a background check and drug test
  • Skilled at driving large vehicles
  • Comfortable maneuvering and parking a tractor-trailer
  • Alert, focused, and detail-oriented
  • Physically and mentally fit
Work Environment
  • Duties performed outside most of the time
Travel Requirements
  • Local travel required
  • Overnight travel rarely
Physical Demands
  • Able to lift 50 pounds at a time
  • Climb, bend, kneel, push, and pull regularly
  • Walk constantly sometimes on uneven terrain
