Job Summary

Cotton Logistics is seeking a skilled HVAC/Refrigeration Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, including HVAC/Refrigeration system inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs. If you have a strong background in facility maintenance, plumbing, and carpentry, and are proficient in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/Refrigeration systems, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect buildings and other structures to determine functional HVAC/Refrigeration systems and detect malfunctions and needed repair.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all HVAC/Refrigeration assets on a daily/weekly/monthly/annual schedule as directed by Maintenance management.
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance, including replacement or repair of fixtures, and minor appliances.
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, including replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, and unclogging of drains.
  • May be required to perform or assist in minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work.
  • Reconfigure, install, position, and remount modular offices and space to accommodate user needs and maximize office space.
  • Prepare surfaces and paint various structures and equipment to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment.
  • Clean work areas.
  • Order parts and maintain required documents and inventory.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Valid drivers license required.
  • CDL is preferred.
  • Two years working experience in facility maintenance.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and carpentry is a plus.
  • 3 years experience troubleshooting and repairing HVAC/Refrigeration.
  • Higher than average electrical knowledge base.
  • Must be able to pass a federal background check.
Working Conditions
  • Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess ability to work independently and as a member of team.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Must be highly safety conscious.
  • Must be sensitive to confidential information.
  • Color vision.
  • Hearing.
  • Ability to push minimum 100 pounds (power cleaning appliances); ability to lift minimum 50 pounds (trash and supplies).
  • Ability to climb ladder and step ladder. Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to read, writes, speaks and understands English fluently. Bilingual a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Must be able to complete work orders and reports using electronic systems.
  • Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
  • Ability to use common tools.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Use miscellaneous office equipment (e.g. calculators, computers, FAX machines, copiers, smart phones, etc.).
  • Must be willing to submit to a Federal Background Check.
