Procurement Specialist

BakeMark is a leading manufacturer and distributor of bakery ingredients, products, supplies, and services with over 100 years of experience in the baking industry.

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to manage inventory levels, negotiate transportation, and maintain accurate product and freight costs at our assigned locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
• Negotiate and arrange transportation of products from approved suppliers to our locations.
• Calculate economic order quantities and prepare/purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Analyze and maintain accurate product and freight costs to ensure profitability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.

Requirements:

• 1 year of administrative experience, preferably in a procurement or inventory management role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
