EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE


A Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, or a related discipline is required, along with a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in the field and management of construction projects.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. Experience may be considered in lieu of education on a year-for-year basis.



INTERVIEW SELECTION PROCESS:
The selection process may involve multiple components to assess applicants' knowledge, skills, and abilities relevant to the position. These components may include practical demonstrations, written assessments, oral interviews, and/or competency evaluations.

POSITION SUMMARY

This role involves overseeing contract management for assigned construction contracts and coordinating the administration of these contracts within the organization. Acts as a liaison between resident engineers and the organization's staff/General Engineering Consultant's personnel. Undertakes significant responsibilities in executing engineering and construction activities. The work performed has a considerable impact on business operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises and coordinates construction, engineering, and contract administration tasks with Project Managers, the Authority's General Engineering Consultant, Resident Engineers, Contract Administrators, and other staff members.
  • Reviews and provides feedback on proposed construction contract documents and plans prior to advertising and bidding.
  • Maintains accurate computerized records of all contract information.
  • Collaborates with Contract Administrators to finalize and prepare contract change orders.
  • Coordinates the administration of construction contracts.
  • Maintains a register of submissions.
  • Manages field activities related to payment applications and collaborates with the Contract Administrator to finalize and prepare these applications.
  • Conducts field inspections as necessary.
  • Prepares weekly progress reports.
  • Regularly updates information in Project Manager (P6) and other databases.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
