About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Geospatial Analyst to join our team at GCW Engineering, Inc. as a key member of our GIS department. The ideal candidate will have a strong emphasis on map creation and proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Map Development and Maintenance: Develop, maintain, and update a variety of maps to support project needs, ensuring accurate data sharing and collaboration.
- Geospatial Data Management: Manage and analyze geospatial data across platforms, integrating GIS with CAD systems and performing advanced geospatial analyses.
- WebMap and WebApplication Design: Design and customize WebMaps and WebApplications to enhance user interaction and data visualization, facilitating the integration and exchange of data between GIS and CAD environments.
- Geoprocessing and Imagery Analysis: Analyze topographic, DEM, and raster data to support project requirements, conduct imagery analysis, and apply geoprocessing techniques to derive actionable insights.
- Automation and Quality Control: Automate routine GIS tasks, perform complex spatial analyses, and ensure all GIS outputs are accurate, consistent, and meet the required quality standards for project deliverables.
- Technical Support and Training: Provide ongoing technical support and training to team members on GIS tools and processes, ensuring seamless collaboration and data sharing.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of GIS-related experience, with proficiency in ESRI products, customizing WebMaps and WebApplications, and Python and Arcade scripting for geospatial automation and analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and GIS-CAD integration, knowledge of topography, DEM, raster datasets, and 3D mapping, and experience with imagery analysis and geoprocessing tools.
