Job Title: Maintenance Worker

Champion Home Builders Inc. is seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team in Decatur, IN.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Worker to perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and installations on our equipment, machinery, and physical structures.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual inspections and tests on machinery and equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
  • Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  • Schedule maintenance in a manner that will not hinder the production team from meeting their scheduled timelines.
  • Coordinate repairs in a timely manner to assist the production team in meeting their scheduled timelines.
  • Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
  • Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of establishment.

Requirements:

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to pass a 7 Panel Drug Screen.
