Program Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Program Manager to lead all aspects of our programs, from award to six months after start of production. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving program Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives while ensuring profitability throughout the entire program lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Develop strong relationships and manage the ongoing negotiation of priorities with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage internal and external cost studies to support program financial objectives.
- Manage internal and external product, process, and program changes through a change request and approval system.
- Liaise with Finance to build the program financial model, projecting program cost, sales price, and duration to generate financial metrics.
- Launch and monitor the program using the program financial model, timelines, open issues list, and gate reviews.
- Conduct risk and opportunity analysis and develop action plans to address deficiencies.
- Manage and coordinate the cross-functional program team, defining team members' objectives and goals.
- Arbitrate conflicts with customers and internal teams on financial, timing, and technical issues.
- Create a Program Management culture by applying processes defined in the Program Management System.
- Organize communications throughout the program lifecycle.
- Ensure smooth program transfer from program/product inception to production launch.
- Timeline (Jira/Gantt Chart): Communicates significant customer and internal dates, defining gate/phase/milestone points of the program.
- Open Issues List (Jira): Defines action plans to address program roadblocks, risks, and opportunities.
- Financial Model: Outlines program financial performance, evaluating cost and associated sales prices and volumes.
- Gate Reviews: A series of predefined program requirements to ensure program obligations are met.
- Change Management System: A cross-functional conduit to communicate, quantify, and qualify changes to the program.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5-7 years of successful program management experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
- PMP Certification preferred.
- Formal or significant work experience in program management tools and discipline.
- Self-directed and proven ability to solve technical issues using data and sound troubleshooting principles.
- Multi-tasking capabilities, excellent organizational skills, and computer skills in Windows Office Suite and project management software tools.
- Team player with a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
