Job Summary:
The Registered Dietician Float position at Center for Elders Independence is a dynamic role that requires a comprehensive understanding of clinical nutrition and therapeutic diets. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for assessing seniors' nutritional needs, developing and implementing individualized nutritional plans, and providing education to participants, families, and caregivers.
Responsibilities:
- Assess participants' nutritional needs and develop individualized plans of care
- Conduct meal and sanitation inspections to ensure compliance with dietary requirements
- Provide nutrition education to participants, families, and caregivers
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Monitor therapeutic diets and special dietary needs
- Conduct kitchen surveys and diet order audits
- Assist with day center meal service and monitor stock levels
- Communicate and coordinate care with CEI Home Care team members and contracted food service facilities
Qualifications:
- BS or BA degree in food and nutrition science from an accredited college or university
- Certified by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) as a Registered Dietitian
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare facility (preferred)
- Current valid Food Manager Certificate (ServSafe) (preferred)
