Responsibilities- Deliver evidence-based nursing practices to provide safe and excellent patient care, adhering to the latest research, policies, and standards of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Administer medications utilizing the latest advancements in bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure patient safety.
- Document patient care electronically, ensuring accurate and timely updates on patient assessments, plans, interventions, and evaluations.
- Provide patient and family-centered education to optimize health, wellness, and disease management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient transitions and continuum of care.
- Meet the requirements for a current and valid New Jersey Nursing license and BLS/CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
- Possess a BSN in progress or be willing to acquire within three years of hire, with six months or more of nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
- ACLS certification is preferred, and the ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, and demonstrate a strong sense of accountability, teamwork, and patient focus is essential.
