Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Closing Work Orders: Ensure that all work orders are closed within 24 hours after returning finished goods to stock.
  • Production Reporting: Accurately complete production reports and runtime details to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Project Planning: Assess project and resource requirements to plan and organize production schedules that meet on-time delivery (OTD) goals.
  • Safety Leadership: Promote a safe working environment by leading the Safety Program, conducting safety discussions with associates, and auditing safety practices.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure compliance with PPE requirements and maintain high-quality standards by inspecting lines and updating charts.
  • Training and Development: Provide on-the-job training for associates in all areas of their job duties and set goals for employees to hold them accountable.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and report material over-usage/over-issue and control area inventory to optimize production efficiency.
  • Staffing and Scheduling: Assess staffing levels and work with the Production Manager and HR to meet production needs.
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and be ready to work before and after the shift starts.
  • Team Management: Manage team meetings and attend management meetings as necessary to promote team building and improvement.
  • Quality Management: Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS), QA scrap, and first piece approvals.
  • Communication: Schedule regular communication meetings to promote team building and improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a high-speed production line.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and administrative skills, forklift operation experience, and ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of industrial maintenance experience and computer literacy (MS Office, ERP Systems - SAP).
