Job Summary

R.J. Corman Railroad Group, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and safety-minded Locomotive Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our trains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Train Operations: Assist in all phases of the safe daily operation of trains, including operating equipment according to company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on locomotives and railcars to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Customer Service: Work with customers to ensure accurate movement and placement of cars, and provide excellent customer service to meet their needs.
  • Teamwork: Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders to achieve train-handling objectives.
  • Conductor Duties: Perform Conductor duties as required, including handling paperwork, communicating with dispatchers, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to perform physical strenuous work, including standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing in a safe manner.
