Community Action of Skagit County is seeking a highly skilled Nourishment Expert to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing education and support to clients in the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) program.

About the Role

The Nourishment Expert will be responsible for conducting nutrition assessments, developing individual plans for WIC services, and providing nutritional and breastfeeding counseling. You will also be required to maintain accurate client records and coordinate communications with program staff, medical providers, and other service organizations.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in WIC or a related field, with training in nutrition, is preferred.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are preferred; additional languages are helpful.
  • Experience with manual and auto scales, height/length boards, hematocrit/hemoglobin analyzers, and blood draw techniques is preferred.
  • A Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certificate and WIC State Competent Professional Authority Recognition are required.
Compensation and Benefits

This is a rewarding opportunity with a competitive salary range of $20.93-$23.71 per hour, depending on experience.
