Job Summary

This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing repairs on assigned mechanical systems and equipment in a manner that ensures optimal client relations and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and adjust mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC and refrigeration equipment, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

• Utilize tools of the trade, such as multimeters, refrigerant gauges, and hand tools, to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.

• Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

• Identify maintenance risks on equipment and implement proactive measures to prevent downtime and ensure optimal system performance.

• Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to junior technicians and support staff.

• Maintain accurate records and logs of all maintenance functions, including daily reports and system performance data.

• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and industry standards, and maintain a safe working environment.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance strategies and procedures that align with company goals and objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification preferred.

• 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, with a willingness to continue education and professional development in the field.

• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC and refrigeration equipment.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and management.
