Warehouse Operations Manager

This position plays a vital role in Sherwin-Williams' distribution network, overseeing the receiving, shipping, and warehousing of merchandise in our facilities.

As a key member of our team, you will supervise warehouse employees and lead teams to foster a collaborative environment through effective communication.

You will be responsible for maintaining high standards in safety, quality, inventory, and productivity levels, while providing leadership to meet facility goals in the 5 focus areas of Operational Excellence: Safety, Quality, People, Service, and Cost.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee receiving, shipping, and warehousing operations
  • Implement operational policies and procedures
  • Ensure effective and safe use of warehouse equipment
  • Monitor quality and productivity to meet service and cost objectives
  • Plan daily work schedules by coordinating with outside vendors and internal departments
  • Manage employee training, development, performance management, and corrective action
  • Conduct regular communication meetings with the workforce to enhance the Business Management System and Operational Excellence
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement Projects

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status
  • Must have at least one year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or operations function

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Management, Engineering, Business Administration, Operations, or Supply Chain
  • At least one year of work experience operating mobile power equipment
  • At least one year of experience in a leadership role, supervising others, or leading teams
  • Formal training in continuous improvement tools, such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, or Transactional Lean
  • At least three years of experience working in a manufacturing and/or distribution facility
  • Prior work experience using timekeeping and/or warehouse management systems
