Butte County, CA is seeking a skilled Public Health Microbiologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology and laboratory procedures, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Conduct microbiological tests and examinations to detect and identify microbial agents
- Analyze test results and report findings to support the goals of the Public Health Department
- Develop and implement laboratory procedures and protocols to ensure the quality and accuracy of laboratory tests
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Microbiology, or Chemistry
- 2 years of progressively responsible experience in public health microbiology
- Valid US driver's license
- Licensure as a Public Health Microbiologist in the State of California
