Job Summary

The Medical Assistant is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of clinical procedures, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and administering medications.
  • Assist with patient examinations and treatments, and operate office medical equipment as needed.
  • Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic laboratory procedures.
  • Provide basic first aid and respond to emergencies in a calm and professional manner.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of patient documentation and records.
  • Manage patient schedules and appointments, and coordinate with providers and support staff as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, and restock supplies as required.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of Medical Assistant training preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and view a computer screen for extended periods, with occasional lifting and bending.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of related work experience.
  • Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Registered by the American Medical Technologists.
  • Bilingual (English-Spanish or English-Haitian Creole) a plus.
