Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the physical condition of new rental units meets company standards
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including tile installation and drywall work
  • Touch-up paint and patch, repair, or replace carpet as necessary
  • Assist the maintenance team as needed
  • Stay organized and effectively communicate with the Service Manager on progress
  • Be aware of the condition of the property at all times and take immediate action to correct any unsafe conditions
  • Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as directed
  • Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance or repair as directed
  • Remove and transfer appliances and equipment as needed

Requirements:

  • A clear understanding of business concepts, processes, and strategic thinking
  • Ability to access all apartment homes and community areas to show homes to potential residents and inspect community standards
  • Ability to visually inspect apartment homes, grounds, and other community areas to ensure standards are met
  • Ability to speak, listen, read, and write English with sufficient proficiency to maintain a safe environment
  • Knowledge of maintenance, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, painting, drywall, buffing, and waxing
  • Must provide own tools where applicable
  • 1-3 years of experience in Property Management
  • HVAC certification preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
