About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Field Service Technician II to join our team at Smiths Detection. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge security systems, ensuring the safety and security of people and infrastructure worldwide.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. You'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our security systems, working closely with customers to deliver exceptional results.

We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, and ongoing training and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair security systems at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing concerns and delivering solutions that meet their needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless project execution and effective communication
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our services
  • Develop and implement process improvements, enhancing our overall quality and efficiency

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in field service or a related role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
