At MaineGeneral Health, we're seeking a highly skilled Newborn Care Expert to join our pediatric team in Augusta, Maine. As a board-certified or eligible pediatrician, you will provide expert care to newborns, pediatric inpatients, and emergency department consults at our cutting-edge facility.

The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in neonatal resuscitation, newborn care, and stabilization of critically ill newborns. You will collaborate closely with our multidisciplinary team, including OB's, midwives, anesthesia, emergency medicine, and family practice physicians. Additionally, we offer pediatric subspecialty/NICU/PICU support via phone from the nearest children's hospital, approximately one hour away.

This role presents opportunities for teaching and professional growth. You will contribute to the education of medical students and residents on weekdays, helping shape the next generation of healthcare professionals. With an average daily census of 4-6 patients, you will enjoy a manageable workload and the freedom to focus on delivering outstanding patient care.
