Troon Golf is seeking an energetic and hospitality-driven professional for the private club fitness center. Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet members and assist with fitness center needs, answer phones and member inquiries, schedule training and other appointments.
  • Perform minor custodial duties such as wiping fitness equipment and perform opening and closing duties when needed.

Primary Objectives:
The Fitness Attendant will monitor daily activity of the fitness center and ensure guest satisfaction and compliance with rules and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greets guests upon arrival and departure to the fitness center.
  • Checks member identification card and validates guest participation.
  • Distributes and controls locker keys and towels.
  • Signs in members and guests, advising them of rules and procedures of the fitness center.
  • Monitors activities in indoor/outdoor aquatic areas, exercise equipment room, aerobic room, indoor track (as applicable), and locker rooms through visual and camera surveillance.
  • Reports safety concerns to supervisor.
  • Adjusts music and/or television equipment as needed.
  • Performs minor custodial duties to include wiping down machines, picking up discarded items, etc. Helps to keep the fitness center neat and tidy.
  • Performs opening and closing duties at the fitness center when required.
  • Responds to emergency situations, as dictated by facility policy.
  • Answers phones and guest inquiries.
  • Assists the Fitness Director and provides basic instruction to equipment users.
  • Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements:
A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, along with one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently uses hands; reaches with hands and arms; talks, hears, stands and walks, climbs or balances; stoops, and kneels.
  • Occasionally sits, crouches, or crawls; tastes or smells.
  • Lifts up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Certifications/Licenses:
CPR and First Aid Certification is required.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:
An ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of this job.

Estimated Salary:
$35,000 - $45,000 per year.
