Recreation Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Recreation Aide to join our team at the City of Wildwood, FL. As a Recreation Aide, you will be responsible for organizing recreational activities, community center events, and assisting the Parks & Recreation department with operational projects.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate regularly with the general public and respond to customer inquiries, requests, and concerns.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, instruction, and organization of recreation programs, activities, events, and services.
- Monitor and report unauthorized persons and other safety and security concerns.
- Notify appropriate staff of any incidents or accidents and complete required documentation.
- Participate in setting up and breaking down meeting rooms and facilities for functions.
- Perform custodial work as required, including cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, replenishing supplies, and maintaining facilities.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid FL driver's license or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to solve problems and address concerns.
- Ability to contribute to team goals and objectives while maintaining effective working relationships.
- Knowledge of standard office computer equipment and software applications.
- Ability to work late nights, early mornings, on weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to follow and demonstrate written and oral instructions.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
