We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic educator to join our team at Primrose School of Lee's Summit. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in helping young minds explore, discover, and understand the world around them.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing a premier educational child care experience. You will be responsible for planning and implementing an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child, in accordance with the Primrose Balanced Learning approach to teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and managing a group of children in a safe and nurturing environment
  • Assessing each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis and implementing individualized lesson plans
  • Collaborating with the Leadership Team to plan parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations
  • Maintaining a well-organized and attractive classroom environment that encourages children to create, explore, and make decisions with confidence
  • Providing clear and consistent expectations for children's behavior and accepting responsibility for maintenance and housekeeping duties of the classroom and common areas

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in early childhood education, preferably in a licensed program
  • A degree in early childhood education or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of child development principles and practices
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and provide physical support to children as needed
