About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dermatology Assistant to join our team at Arkansas Dermatology. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatologists in delivering top-notch medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Advocacy: Serve as a patient advocate during exams and treatment, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
  • Medical History and Documentation: Record and verify patient medical history, confirming the purpose of each visit and maintaining accurate electronic charts.
  • Consent and Preparation: Obtain proper consent forms, prepare patients for examination, and ensure a safe and effective environment for treatment.
  • Supporting Physicians: Assist physicians and PAs during exams and treatment, handing instruments and materials as needed, and performing tasks such as giving injections and removing sutures.
  • Confidentiality and Teamwork: Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, practice teamwork, and demonstrate respect for coworkers and patients.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including patient education, returning phone calls, and authorizing prescription refills.
  • Lab Specimen Collection: Collect, document, and deliver lab specimens as needed.
