Position Overview

Women's Imaging Specialists, a premier organization in women's imaging, is on the lookout for a skilled Breast Imaging Technologist to enhance our dedicated team. We are committed to providing top-tier 2D and 3D diagnostic imaging services, focusing on 3D mammography, breast ultrasound, bone densitometry, and general ultrasound.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate mammography and imaging equipment for accurate image production and documentation.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of patient assessments and medical history.
  • Deliver compassionate care and educational support to patients regarding breast health.
  • Ensure timely and precise completion of scheduled tasks to optimize workflow.
  • Implement quality control measures to guarantee high-quality imaging results.
  • Accurately input and manage patient risk and history data within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Update exam statuses for timely interpretation by radiologists.
  • Adapt to the specific needs of the department and respond appropriately.
  • Communicate any unusual situations to relevant personnel to facilitate resolution.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality and continuity of patient care.
  • Adhere to departmental protocols and policies.
  • Follow safety regulations in radiography practices.
  • Implement universal precautions and infection control measures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination room and work area.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Uphold the ethical standards of the profession in all aspects of practice.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of clinical breast imaging and patient care, demonstrating warmth, compassion, and a positive demeanor. Candidates must hold ARRT registration as a Radiologic Technologist with Mammography certification.

This is a full-time position offering competitive benefits.

Compensation is negotiable based on experience.

  • ARRT Registered Radiologic Technologist with Mammography certification (ARRT (R)(M)).
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Mammography Technologist performing both screening and diagnostic examinations.
  • Basic understanding of MQSA and ACR guidelines.
  • Familiarity with mammography Quality Control and Quality Assurance practices.
  • General knowledge of healthcare service delivery policies and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills, including keyboarding and navigation.
