Focus Staff is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist for a travel assignment in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a motivated and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MRI procedures and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities- Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
- Under the direction of the Chief of Radiology and the Imaging Services Director, perform related technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
- Interview patients to explain MRI procedures and address their concerns.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
- Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
- Two years of continuous recent experience as a MRI Technologist, with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
- License in the required state.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
