Liquor Stock Clerk Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Liquor Stock Clerk to join our team at the Idaho Division of Human Resources. As a Liquor Stock Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, stocking, and selling packaged liquor in a state liquor store. You will also perform related work, including operating a computerized cash register system, balancing daily receipts, and reconciling discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving and verifying shipments, inspecting and documenting freight damages
  • Determining stocking needs, coding merchandise, and arranging shelf and floor displays
  • Acting as a representative for the manager during absences, opening and closing the store, and maintaining security
  • Operating a computerized cash register system, balancing daily receipts, and reconciling discrepancies

Requirements:

  • Must be 19 years of age to sell liquor per Idaho Code
  • Experience adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and decimals
  • Reading instructions written in English

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time non-benefitted position for applicants looking to work under 20 hours per week. Applicants who apply to this posting may be eligible to convert to a benefitted full or part-time position at this location upon successful completion of 1,040 credited state service hours if a position is available.
