Responsabilidades:

  • Administrar medicamentos y tratamientos según lo prescrito por un médico.
  • Monitorear signos vitales, como temperatura, presión arterial y frecuencia del pulso.
  • Proporcionar apoyo emocional a pacientes y familias.
  • Educar a pacientes y familias sobre el mantenimiento de la salud.
  • Observar y reportar cambios en la condición del paciente al enfermero supervisor.
  • Asistir con las necesidades de cuidado geriátrico.

Calificaciones:

  • Debe estar certificado como Asistente de Medicación Calificado (QMA) por el estado.
  • Se alienta a los nuevos graduados a postularse.
  • No debe tener hallazgos en el registro relacionados con abuso, negligencia o apropiación indebida de propiedad de residentes.
  • Habilidad para manejar múltiples tareas y tomar decisiones rápidas.
  • Capacidad para fomentar buenas relaciones con residentes y familias.
  • Capacidad para colaborar efectivamente en un entorno de equipo.
  • Pasión por trabajar con residentes ancianos.
  • Experiencia en una instalación de vida asistida o de largo plazo es un plus, pero no es obligatorio.
