Key Responsibilities- Coordinate patient care to meet the complex needs of the patient population on the unit
- Support and promote all education, quality, patient safety initiatives, and a solid commitment to the patient experience
- Role model and mentor problem-solving and critical thinking
- Communicate with all healthcare team members in a respectful and professional manner
- Be aware and committed to the efficient flow of patients on and off the unit
- Self-motivated and committed to lifelong learning by attending professional development opportunities and services
- Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required
- Experience: 15 or more years of experience in an acute care hospital setting
- Education: AND required; BSN preferred
- Skills/Competencies: Membership on key unit-specific practice committees as appropriate or hospital-wide practice councils, Excellent communication skills, Consistent attendance at unit-based and hospital-wide shared-governance meetings, Committed to one's own professional growth and development
