Insulation Fabricator/Coil Winder

We are seeking a skilled Insulation Fabricator/Coil Winder to join our team at Delta Star Inc. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for fabricating insulation materials and winding coils for our medium-power transformers.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate winding machines and tensioning devices to produce high-quality coils.
- Wind helical and disk high and low voltage, tertiary voltage, regulating voltage, and preventive auto coils with precision and accuracy.
- Inspect and measure materials, log data on engineering specification sheets, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Operate various machinery, including paper shears, press brakes, band saws, key space punchers, electric shearers, forms, and fold insulating materials and static shields.
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- At least six (6) months of related manufacturing experience and/or training in the field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to use all basic hand and power tools.
- Ability to use measurement tools such as squares, micrometers, tape measures, etc.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions.
- Ability to follow all safety practices and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Positive attitude and commitment to fostering a continuous improvement environment.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 70 pounds with assistance.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
