Job Summary
The Secondary Substitute Teacher is a part-time, on-call role at King's Schools, a ministry of CRISTA Ministries. As a substitute teacher, you will be responsible for maintaining professional standards within the teaching assignment, carrying out lesson plans, and ensuring the health and safety of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain professional standards within the teaching assignment and carry out lesson plans to the best of ability.
- Ensure the health and safety of students at all times.
- Fulfill after-school carpool duties as assigned.
- Leave the classroom in a neat condition, with student daily work corrected, and summary notes for the classroom teacher.
- Relate any areas of question or concern to the Assistant Principal or Principal.
- Work collaboratively with supervisors, coworkers, students, and their families.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Christ-Centered
- Belief that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior.
- Commitment to continued spiritual growth and development, as evidenced by a growing personal walk with God.
- Prayerful seeking of God's will in their own life and ministry at CRISTA.
- Engagement in spiritual practices, such as prayer, fellowship, and Bible study.
- Affirmation of CRISTA's Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Commitment.
- Education
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education.
- Licenses/Certifications
- Washington State Teaching Certificate or Substitute Certificate.
