We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists PC.
Job SummaryThe Physical Therapy Assistant will provide direct patient care services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, interpersonal and communication skills, and experience with electronic medical record systems.
Key Responsibilities- Treats all patients referred for physical therapy in a compassionate and respectful manner.
- Completes and submits accurate reports pertaining to treatments via EMR in a timely manner.
- Maintains a patient treatment schedule that is consistent with the needs of the clinic and as directed by the Physical Therapist.
- Confers with family members or caregivers and keeps them informed of any additional patient needs, treatment modifications and/or progress.
- Treats patients of all ages without bias or prejudice.
- Respects and understands the patient's right to treatment and right to involvement in treatment decisions.
- Practices ethical responsibility based on the cultural, ethnic and religious beliefs of the patients served.
- Associate of Applied Science degree from a CAPTE accredited PTA program.
- Previous experience in an outpatient setting required.
- Licensed in the state of Connecticut and Basic Life Support certified.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office and experience with electronic medical record systems.
- A competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
