Framer Job Description

At Symbiotic Corp., we are seeking a skilled Framer to join our team in the Woodshop department. As a Framer, you will play a crucial role in the safe and efficient assembly of wood frames using a variety of hand tools and power tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and process cut hardwood/chipboard from machine operators.
  • Read and interpret diagrams of styles and sku's to determine appropriate procedures for attaching parts.
  • Operate hand tools and large staple guns for extended periods.
  • Count and report rejected parts, notifying the assistant supervisor.
  • Sort wood to assemble furniture frames.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished frames.
  • Clean and maintain the work area.
Requirements:
  • Manual dexterity with the ability to operate hand and power tools, including staple guns.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with all departments.
  • Flexibility to work a changing schedule according to production demands.
  • Attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work in cold and hot environments (non-climate controlled).
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a production environment using safety equipment, including protective eyewear, ear plugs, and safety gloves as required.
  • Ability to read diagrams and drawings.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
